Mark was formerly with Hartnell Taylor Cook in Bristol where he specialised in property investment consultancy on behalf of a number of institutions, property companies, family trusts and private individuals. His work was predominantly concentrated in the South West and South Wales but included national coverage on behalf of various retained clients.

In the mid 1990s Mark moved to GVA in Birmingham where he subsequently became head of the Investment Department, responsible for a team of surveyors advising clients on property assets in the West and East Midlands.

Needing a new challenge, Mark established Mark Atkins Associates in October 1997 with the ambition of providing a personal service to many of his long standing clients. Mark is a Chartered Surveyor.

Michelle was formerly with Bruton Knowles in Gloucester where she built up and ran the property management department, overseeing contracts for corporate, public sector, institutional, charitable and private clients. As Property Management Team Leader and Corporate Team Director, she was responsible for a team of over 40 staff handling properties in Central and Southern England, the Midlands and Wales.

Michelle joined Mark Atkins Associates in 2000 to establish a property management department using her experience of commercial properties, client finance, new business developement, tenders, computerisation, property management and rent accounting system to optimise the performance of clients' commercial property portfolios. Adding property management to the existing investment, asset management and landlord and tenant work has enabled us to provide a more comprehensive service to our clients.

Sarah began her working life with various local businesses in a customer service role. Her interest in property management was inspired by work placements at Mark Atkins Associates and Bruton Knowles.

She joined Mark Atkins Associates on a full time basis in September 2010 in the Finance and Accounts Department. As a result of internal restructuring, Sarah is now taking a more active role in the Property Services and Maintenance Department, assisting Michelle in liaising with contractors and tenants, making sure that all properties are maintained to a high standard as well as organising any reactive repair work that is required. Sarah is also responsible for working with our compliance and health and safety advisors whose brief is to ensure that our entire portfolio complies with current legislation.

Office Manager

Paula began her career in a retail environment where she learned the value of good customer service and relationships. After 7 years and keen for a complete change, she began an office job at Kays Catalogue where she spent a total of 11 years progressing through four positions, culminating in the Marketing Department where she spent 5 years gaining experience in advertising and new customer acquisition/retention. Following redundancy, she tried several different career directions including a period at Mainstay Residential where she had her first experience of property management.

Paula joined Mark Atkins Associates in 2008 as an Accounts Assistant and has since been promoted to Office Manager.
